What will no doubt be a highlight of the day, there will be a special match featuring the Goannas Junior Under 10s team who will take on Cowra commencing at 11.30am.
The League Tag girls kept their undefeated record intact with a tough 12-4 win at Condobolin last Sunday against a much improved Condo team.
This Sunday they will clash with second placed Cargo and this will be a big test as Cargo have a couple of quick girls and like other teams this year they will lift against the 2016 premiers. Best of luck girls.
After a frustrating narrow loss last Sunday to Condobolin 46-38 the Goannas slipped out of the top five and they will clash with a Cargo team who will be keen to find some form after losing three of their last four games.
The loss to Condo on Sunday put a big dent in the Goannas top five prospects, as Condo is one of two teams they are fighting with for the remaining two finals spots.
A win this week over the highly fancied Blue Heelers will not be easy but it would put the Goannas back on track for finals footy.
Good luck to all the Grenfell teams playing at Lawson Oval this Sunday.
We hope to see a large number of supporters there to cheer on the home sides.
Full canteen facilities will be available.
