On Monday, June 5, members of the former Sesquicentenary committee Peter Moffitt (Chair), Jenny Hetherington and Hugh Moffitt presented the books to President of the Grenfell Historical Society Peter Mitton along with members Sandra Hughes and Judy Mitton at the Museum.
The Historical Society are very grateful for the kind donation and will be able to put the collection to good use.
The “Historic Homes of the Weddin Shire” was co-written by Jenny Hetherington, Pene Starr and Hugh Moffitt and was recently acknowledged during the National Trust’s annual Heritage Awards for excellence in Heritage projects across New South Wales where the publication received a Highly Commended in the heritage publications by a community group.
