The Hall of Fame has been created to acknowledge the achievements of local sportspeople who have represented Australia in their chosen sport.
The information was gathered from inductees, families and the memorabilia collected over the years by Skippy and Barbara Mitton.
Over 200 people attended the evening which was very enjoyable with some of the inductees travelling from as far away as Melbourne to be part of the evening which was greatly appreciated.
Twenty three (23) sportspeople were inducted into the Hall of Fame and their photos may be viewed at the Bowling Club.
After the presentation of certificates to the inductees the Hall of Fame was officially opened by Mayor Mark Liebich with assistance from Coordinators Skippy Mitton and Nevin Hughes and Grenfell sportswomen Dominique Holland and Jan Lehane .
The event and the inductees were also named in a recent sitting of Parliament in Canberra when community events were discussed by local member Katrina Hodgkinson.
Skippy and Nevin would like to thank everyone who attended the night or helped in any way.
