Having taken over as coach of CSU this season, Hatch is working on implementing a new style of rugby, which means he wants the students to focus on themselves.
“It’s going to be a tough one and obviously they are coming off the favourites tag and they had a defeat too, so they are going to be very keen to get back on track,” Hatch said.
“But every team we are going to come up against are going to be tough, so at the moment, and I know it’s a bit of a cliche, we are just going to focus on ourselves.
“We really need to get right our practices and if we focus too much on what they’re doing, we can lose our way. We are trying to create our own structures, our own identity and our own way of playing.”
While CSU is yet to win, Forbes sits fifth after beating Dubbo ’Roos 26-22 then going down 62-20 to Emus.
