The Grenfell Picnic Race Club would like to thank a great many people for helping to make last Saturday’s racing event so enjoyable. The day was testimony that a picnic race meeting is the ideal location for family reunions and buck’s parties, or friends getting together for a great day out. To thank people individually would be lengthy and run the risk of forgetting somebody important. So, allow us to thank the racegoers who added to the atmosphere of Grenfell Picnics 2017. Also, thank you to the sponsors without whom things would be very difficult, the bookmakers, trainers and jockeys, security guards, fashion on the field entrants and judges. Those who operated everything from the bars to the barriers, who entertained us, provided sound, attended the entry gates or served in the canteen. Finally a huge thank you to those who contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to make it all happen.
