Currently Gino along with project Manager, Angelo Spina, and their team are pouring the first stage of the floor construction that will take between 3-4 weeks with the walls and gutters being assembled consecutively, these stages should be completed by Christmas. Following the completion of the floors, walls and guttering will come the next stage, the laying of the tiles, which will take approximately 2 ½ months. This will be the major works completed leaving the amenities and landscaping to be finalised in time for the estimated completion date.
Mayor, Mark Liebich, along with fellow Councillors and senior Shire staff members met with project managers, Gino and Angelo, last Monday, October 24, on-site to receive and update on the current status of the construction. All were excited to see the project taking shape and moving forward towards completion.
The new state-of-the-art Aquatic Centre will provide an excellent facility for local residents and visitors to enjoy for many, many years to come. For further information regarding the Aquatic Centre visit Councils website at www.weddin.nsw.gov.au
