Mike Baird will lead the coalition in a second term of government, after a convincing win in Saturday’s NSW election.
The Liberal and National parties have won the 47 seats needed to claim government in the 93-seat state parliament.
Here's how Fairfax Regional mastheads are reporting election results - and otherwise - on Sunday:
MONARO
► Candidates in the bellwether NSW seat of Monaro are anxiously waiting on Sunday for the counting of 8,000 pre-poll votes.
The SOUTH-WEST
► His challengers had hoped to knock him off his perch, but Wagga MP Daryl Maguire won a clear victory in Saturday’s election, with voters handing the veteran MP a fifth term in office.
► Greg Aplin has retained the state seat of Albury. The Liberal member since 2003 won his fourth successive election despite a swing to Labor on around 50 per cent of the 50,000 plus votes counted to date.
The CENTRAL-WEST
► The Nationals incumbent Andrew Gee has romped home in the seat of Orange with what he believes could be a swing towards him. With 35 per cent of the vote counted on Saturday night, Mr Gee had claimed 66.38 per cent of the primary vote, followed by Labor candidate Bernard Fitzsimon on 23.36 per cent and Greens candidate Janelle Bicknell on 6.06 per cent.
► Paul Toole will be comfortably returned as the Member for Bathurst, earning his second four-year term in State Parliament.
► Troy Grant will be returned as the Member for Dubbo, earning another four-year term in State Parliament.
GOULBURN
► Despite a swing of around 19 per cent against her, indications on Saturday night were that Pru Goward would hang on to Goulburn by a much-reduced margin of around 7 per cent.
The ILLAWARRA
► Four more years was the chant from incumbent Wollongong MP Noreen Hay and her supporters after she declared victory on Saturday night. There had been whispers from Labor head office as early as 8pm Ms Hay had the numbers to win - ending any chance of a challenge from Independent Arthur Rorris.
► While supporters cheered in earnest, Anna Watson joked that the drinks were on her as she celebrated confirmation of a second term as Shellharbour MP.
► Incumbent MP Jai Rowell has retained the seat of Wollondilly as part of a re-elected Baird Government.
The SOUTH COAST
► Kiama MP Gareth Ward has claimed a convincing win, increasing his margin, in Kiama while South Coast MP Shelley Hancock has been returned, with her margin almost halved.
►The Liberal Party's Andrew Constance has been returned as the Bega MP amid a statewide Coalition victory.
The HUNTER
► Labor appears to have gained three Hunter seats, with a major upset in the seat of Port Stephens, and retained four others, including the region’s flagship seat of Newcastle.
► Upper Hunter MP George Souris' departure appears unlikely to hand his seat to another party, with Upper Hunter mayor Michael Johnsen on track for a win.
► The Labor Party has recorded the upset of the election in the Hunter, claiming victory in the previously safe Liberal seat of Port Stephens.
► Labor's Jenny Aitchison has won the seat of Maitland. At 9.40pm the split was 62.45 per cent Labor and 37.55 per cent Liberal
The MID-NORTH COAST
► The Nationals' Leslie Williams has won another term as Port Macquarie MP. The mood was jubilant as Mrs Williams delivered her victory speech just before 8.30pm Saturday.
► Melinda Pavey has recorded a thumping victory in the seat of Oxley, and will become the first female Member to represent the conservative Mid North Coast electorate.
The NEW ENGLAND, NORTH-WEST
► The National Party has been returned to power across the New England and North West Region with majority votes across the board.
It was Tamworth MP, Kevin Anderson who declared victory first with 54% of the primary vote, after Peter Draper conceded defeat with 34% just before 9pm.
Adam Marshall has retained his seat in the Northern Tablelands with 64.72% however Country Labor candidate Debra O'Brien was able to secure 16% of the vote.
In Barwon, Kevin Humphries was able to hold on to his long-held seat with 48%of the primary vote.
► The Nationals' Adam Marshall received 75 per cent of votes across the Northern Tablelands electorate.
