The team consisting of Kiarna Carroll, Linda Hucker, Mikayla Hughes, Imogen Brenner, Niamh Mitton, Lily Holmes, Chrystal Hucker, Rhys Hughes, George Mitton and Tom Robinson competed in the two-day carnival in the 200m individual medley, 100m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle events.
Competition was very strong, with teams traveling from as far as Bathurst, Orange and the Blue Mountains but our swimmers held their own, many swimming significant personal best times.
Three swimmers medaled over the carnival. Mikayla Hughes received a silver in the under 9 years girls 50m butterfly and bronze in the 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke, Kiarna Carroll received bronze medals in 15 years girls 100m freestyle and 50m freestyle, and Tom Robinson received bronze medals in the 12 years boys 50m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
Thanks to the parents, grandparents and great-grandparent for accompanying the team to Parkes and a special thanks must go to Bianca Hughes and Leann Logan for the endless hours of coaching and support that they provide to our swimmers.
