LETTER - Lost, my great grandmother
I have been researching my family tree but now I have come to an abrupt halt.
I cannot find further details for my great-grandmother, Annie Josephine Byrne.
Details I do have ... Annie was born around 1864 in NSW, she married Arthur William Tempest in Grenfell in 1885, in a Presbyterian service in a house. Unfortunately their NSW marriage certificate does not record their parent’s names.
I think Arthur was a bank manager in Grenfell, as his father was in Molong. Both Arthur and Annie moved to WA and in early census’ he is recorded as an accountant and Annie as a music teacher.
I am waiting for Annie’s death certificate but I do not hold much hope as her parents are not noted on the WA BDM site.
The birth records I have searched on the NSW BDM, for 1864 and 1865, do not match other details for my Annie.
I would be very grateful if someone could assist as we are planning a road trip in August to visit my ancestors towns in NSW, including Orange, Goulburn, Bathurst, Molong and, of course, Grenfell.
Many thanks
