Girls tackle hits the field in Round three

The Grenfell Junior Rugby League Club hit the road for Condobolin in Round 3 received a warm welcome by the Condobolin Rams who hosted across all three grades.

However, a major headline for the Grenfell outfit was saw first ever girls tackle side face off against a tough and competitive Condo side.

Although the had to borrow three players to field a team, the Grenfell Girls tackle team didn't take a backwards step! Congratulations to Aurora, Lila, Harmony, Nellie and Sienna on such a fierce display.

There are three more development/fun games to go for the season with all of the Grenfell Junior Rugby League Club girls welcome to participate.

The Club are calling all girls who’d like to jump aboard in round 6 against Cabonne.

Congratulations to the Under 14s League Tag Girls and their Coach Chelsea, who delivered a masterclass victory defeating Parkes Blue 30 - 12 on Saturday. The girls are finding their groove more with each round and their vibes are electric, rounding off a full day of footy with some showstopping entertainment.

With the brand new siren installed and shiny new benches ready for star players, the fields have never looked or sounded better. A massive thankyou to Parkes Blue for making the trip out with their 8s, 10s, 12s and 14s, being Grenfell's first home game guests of 2025.

Team Spotlight: Grenfell Junior Rugby Club's Under 12's

We love a good underdog story, and these boys are no exception. With their season starting out uncertain, this team grows stronger, faster and more shockingly good week to week.

They are playing with the kind of grit, teamwork and sportsmanship that leaders are made of. Multi tries, exceptional footwork, a hat trick, chips over the top, and hearts of gold! What a show these 11 and 12 year olds are putting on.

This Saturday, 24 May will see Grenfell host Red Bend. At the time of going to print, Game times were still to be announced.
