St Joseph’s Students Shine in Public Speaking Event

Two talented students from St Joseph’s School, Grenfell, have earned a place in the Western Region Public Speaking Finals to be held next week in Gundagai.

Congratulations to Charlie and Claudia, who impressed the judges with their confidence and delivery during the recent Speak-Offs between St Mary’s School, Young, and St Joseph’s School, Grenfell.

The event, held on Wednesday morning, showcased the public speaking talents of students from both schools. Each participant brought creativity, courage, and a clear voice to the stage, making for a truly inspiring event.

All speakers are to be commended for their efforts, and we wish the finalists the very best as they go on to represent their schools with pride in the next round.

Allie Races to Success at Northern NSW & QLD Interschools

St Joseph’s School, Grenfell, is proud to celebrate the impressive achievements of Allie at the recent Northern NSW & QLD Interschools Snowsports competition, held at Perisher.

In her first year of competing, Allie delivered outstanding results:

Alpine – Division 6 (10 years & under): 2nd Place

Ski Cross – Division 6: 4th Place

Her performance has earned her a place at the State Championships in August - a remarkable achievement and a testament to her skill and determination on the slopes.

The entire school community congratulates Allie and wishes her the very best of luck as she prepares for the next stage. They will be cheering her on all the way!

St Joseph’s Marks National Tree Day with Native Tree Donation

St Joseph’s School, Grenfell, proudly celebrated National Tree Day with a generous donation of native trees from the Weddin Native Nursery. The school extends its sincere thanks to the nursery for supporting this important initiative.

Throughout the day, students engaged in classroom discussions about the significance of National Tree Day and the vital role individuals and communities play in protecting the environment.

This initiative marks another meaningful step toward a greener, more environmentally conscious future for the school and its community.

St Joseph’s Scores Big with New Sporting Equipment

St Joseph’s School, Grenfell, is celebrating a fantastic addition to its sporting facilities, thanks to the overwhelming support of the school community.

Following a series of successful fundraising events, the school has been able to purchase a brand-new set of football goal posts for the oval and two new basketball backboards. These upgrades mark an exciting achievement that will benefit students for many years to come.

The School Community Council extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed - from families and staff to local businesses and supporters - for making this possible.

With these exciting improvements now in place, students can look forward to even more active and engaging play during PE lessons, sport, and lunchtime fun.
