Lois Turner, her son Warwick, future daughter-in-law and grandson travelled from Tumut on Saturday, 12 April 2025 to Grenfell to donate her late husband Alan’s trombone to the Grenfell Town & District Band.
Alan was a regular to Grenfell and played with the band over many years at the Henry Lawson Festival of Arts. Alan first started joining in with Grenfell band in 1969 and he played up until the last few years.
He will be fondly remembered by band members for his cheeky smile, bright yellow Tumut band colours and his love of music. The trombone will be a great addition to the band and the donation is very much appreciated.
