On Tuesday, 13 May the team from Coast and Country Community Services Ltd staged an information day for clients and interested persons at the Community Hub in Grenfell.
While Coast and Country Community Services have been running the Weddin Community Transport Services since 2015 we have kept the name Weddin Community Transport, and the services remained unchanged.
Now in 2025 with Coast and Country Community Services expanding into more service provision areas we have rebranded the Uniforms, Vehicles and all signage to reflect the expanded services.
Coast and Country Community Services are a locally based service provider with outlets in Shoalhaven, Kiama and Bega along with the Western country outlets of Young, Boorowa and Weddin.

The Team from Coast and Country where on hand at the information day to answer questions from community members.
Operations Manager Shane Baker advised that no services would be removed from Grenfell and that in fact they are looking at building services and trying to fill gaps in services within the community.
Shane advised that Amanda Brenner who has been the Co-ordinator of the Weddin service for four years has now moved into a new role of Community Service Officer for the Western Area and she will be working across the Grenfell, Young / Boorowa Office.
Therefore the Grenfell Office will only be open on Monday, Thursday and Fridays, but at other times she will be working in Young where the team will be able to take all your transport bookings and enquiries when you phone the office number as all the outlets are connected.
You will also see extra staff working in the Weddin Office as they provide the much needed assistance to Amanda. The team are being trained up to assist with all your Community Transport and Taxi needs in the town.
Those customers present thanked Amanda for her commitment to the service and often going above and beyond to assist them.
Amanda then gave a short summary of her new role and the fact that she will be asking community for their input on what services people need and what is missing in the community. She will also be working on greater transport connections, more social outings etc for the area.
The Team staged a question and answer session and then the group enjoyed morning tea and informal chats with the team.
For any further information or if you can assist the service in a volunteer capacity, please contact the office on either the 1300411345 number or 63432388 for more information.
