It was great to see a good attendance at the Men’s Bowling Club AGM last Sunday and congratulations to the elected office-bearers – President Andrew Armstrong; Vice-presidents Tim Fowler and Rob Coleman; Secretary Ross Hunter; Treasurer Steve Galvin and a bowls committee comprising Blake Bradtke, Barry Bradtke, John Joyce, Dave Hancock, and Martin Betcher. Tom Hazell and Keith Brus were elected patrons and Quentin Murray auditor. In his report, President Andrew Armstrong paid tribute to greenkeeper Peter Keppie and thanked his bowls committee and volunteers for assistance in maintenance of the greens and surrounds. Bowls member numbers are on the rise, Andrew said. “Encouragement to new members joining us is paramount to success of Men’s Bowls at our club and I feel that we are all doing our bit to ensure we are welcoming and supportive of new (and old) bowlers alike.”
