Lifeline Central West

Lifeline Central West is committed to raising the awareness of domestic and family violence.

They are funded by the Department of Social Services and deliver FREE Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) training and awareness sessions. DV-alert enables frontline workers to confidently:

RECOGNISE signs of domestic and family violence

RESPOND with appropriate care

REFER people experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence to appropriate support services

DV-alert is available at no cost to health, allied health and community frontline workers who come in contact with people experiencing domestic and family violence.

A one day DV Aware Session will be held in Grenfell on Friday November 24, 2017 at the Grenfell Community health Centre in Camp Street GRENFELL at 8.45am arrive for 9am start and finish at 4.30pm.

At the end of the One Day DV-aware session you will be able to

Identify the different signs and forms of abuse that constitute domestic and family violence

*   Familiarise themselves with the Cycle of violence and Duluth wheels – power and control, equality and empowerment

*   Reflect on and share what they can do if they know someone who is experiencing domestic and family violence

​*   Receive tools and references for domestic and family violence support and referral.
