That’s the message Guinness World Record Attempt organiser Rachael Brooking has for all redheaded people throughout the region.
At Wade Park on Saturday afternoon Orange will be attempting to set a new world record for the most number of redheaded people in one place.
Mrs Brooking said redheads from all over NSW and interstate had said on social media they would be heading to Orange for the record attempt.
Now she said she needed the people of Orange to come out and support the charity fundraising event to break the current record of 1672 redheads in one place.
“More than 540 people have indicated they are coming on the event page and they are bringing more people with them,” she said.
“There are people coming from left, right and centre.
“There are people even travelling up to Orange but going back to Sydney after it to go to work.
“People are messaging and commenting, they can’t wait, they are so excited.”
Mrs Brooking has asked all redheads to wear a white top for the record attempt photo and count, which will take place at 2pm.
She said the family fun day started at 11am and all redheads would be asked to assemble for the photo from 1pm.
Master of Ceremonies for the day is actor and writer Stephen Hall.
Music will be provided by Sydney singer Joel Leffler who will also be debuting his new song Auburn Hair which is written for his redheaded girlfriend.
Orange band Honey Sippin’ Mudskippers have gone one step further writing a song for the event.
They will also debut the cheeky Tinge of Ginge, at Wade Park.
Mrs Brooking said she was hoping for about 2000 people to attend the big day.
She said non-redheads were welcome and encouraged them to don a red wig or spray their hair red to join in the fun.
There will be a competition to decide the longest and bushiest red beards on show.
The event is raising funds to help the families of people with Huntington’s Disease.
There will be a gold coin donation per person at the gate to enter.
Mrs Brooking said red-themed food and drink would be on sale.
That ranged from red apples to orange fairy floss, orange juice, and ginger ale.
Ronald McDonald, a Rural Fire Service firetruck, vintage cars and redhead racing car driver Blake Aubin with his chrome and orange racing car would be there.
There will also be dedicated fun zone for children with face-painting and a jumping castle.
