Canberra trainer Luke Pepper was attending a bucks party for fellow trainer Matthew Dale however his stable staff were present to lead in a winning treble at the Grenfell Jockey Club sesquicentenary meeting on Saturday.

The winning haul for the Pepper stable included the feature races,the Grenfell Cup and Loaded Dog Handicap with Megawatt and Delle Donne respectively while Top Girl (Simon Miller, $1.80 favourite led all the way to win the 1000 metres Maiden Handicap.
Delle Donne (Simon Miller, $6), also set the pace in the $8.000 Cultiv8 Financials Loaded Dog Benchmark 55 Handicap (1400 metres) and held on to score by a length from Highly Charged ( Tony Cavallo, $8) with Northern Act (Ken Dunbar, $11) finishing third.
During the current campaign Delle Donne has also won at Forbes and Griffith.
Bringing up the treble for Luke Pepper and Simon Miller,Megawatt ($2.20 fav) enjoyed a nice run behind the leaders before winning the Railway Hotel & Knight,Griffiths & Fountain Families Grenfell Cup (2000 metres) from Coral Downs (Tiffany Jeffries, $5.50) and Streak On (Mathew Cahill, $2.50).
Cowra jockey Mathew Cahill had earlier brought the Brett Thompson,Gulgong trained Ad Veleica ( $3.60 ) with a well timed run to beat Lady Amanda (Simon Miller, $2 fav.) and Meiji (Tony Cavallo, $8) in the Maiden Plate,1400 metres.
In an exciting finish to the Class 2 Handicap (1200 metres ),Whispadah ($10) ridden by Dubbo apprentice Kaylee Kirkwood for Narromine trainer Wayne Collison,rushed home from well back to beat Excellent Oratorio (Tony Cavallo, $4) by a nose with Cafe Terrace (Eleanor Webster-Hawks, $4) a close third..
Celebrating 150 years of racing at Grenfell,the day started with a surprise result in the Benchmark 60 Handicap (1000 metres) when the Paul Theobald,Bathurst trained Attilius (Ken Dunbar, $2.40) after holding a slender lead turning for home kicked away to win by nearly two lengths from the $1.40 favourite Special Silk (Jamie Gibbons ) with Fountains (Nyssa Burrells, $6) in third place.
Racing at Dubbo (TAB) on Friday followed by Mudgee on Saturday and Mungery Picnics on Sunday.
