The Goannas Rugby League football club hosted their presentation evening last Saturday at the Bowling Club. Players achievements from throughout the year were acknowledged as well as long time sponsors who were presented with thank you gifts from the club.

Terry and Deidre Carroll have been involved with the club since 1962 when Terry played his first senior game. Terry held the position of secretary in the senior club while Deidre held a number of positions in the junior club during the 1970’s. For the past 39 seasons Terry and Deidre have been one of the main sponsors of Junior and Senior league.
Lyle and Tracey were also one of the main sponsors of both clubs for a total of 37 years and during this time Lyle and Tracey have been so obliging, there have been many stories regarding their weekends being interrupted by a frantic canteen manager having run out of meat, but it was never a problem, a quick trip to the shop and all was sorted.
