New book to be compiled for Greenethorpe

Many members of the community may have seen Peter Grossman and Ian Pitt’s book on Grenfell titled ‘A Walk through the Past’ that was compiled in conjunction with the town’s 2016 sesquicentenary last year.

Peter is now working on a book on the history of Greenethorpe from 1900 to 2000 that will include both photos and articles. Your help is sought in providing information and photos for the book. Peter is looking for original documents and photos, which will be scanned or photographed and returned to you.  He will be in town during late September /early October especially to meet people regarding the book.

You can either phone Peter direct on 0437 392 093 or Stumpy 0427 436 221, Grant Holland 0429 796 889 or Ian McColl 0427 018 780 or drop your information and photos into the Post Office where they will be copied and forwarded to Peter.

It is hoped that you can get on board with this project and help to make the publication a comprehensive record of Greenethorpe’s history.
