Casper the mischievous talking bird from Strathdale flies the coop

THE last thing Casper the Eclectus parrot told Linda Cooper was that he wanted to be let out of his cage.

Linda was gardening at the time.

“He must have undone his little doors at the side,” she said.

It’s been more than a week since Casper took flight.

“I’m sort of lost without him,” Linda said.

“I get up in the morning and I’ve got no-one to say hello to.”

Linda has been the bird’s constant companion since he was eight weeks of age.

The 69-year-old Strathdale woman has exhausted herself searching for Casper.

“I just love him so much,” Linda said.

She asked that people help her keep an eye out for the “little escape artist”.

Linda said Casper was friendly and talkative, with particular dietary needs.

She was hopeful no-one was trying to keep her “little mate.” Or, worse yet, sell him.

“Genuine bird people would return the bird,” Linda said.

She asked that anyone with information about Casper’s whereabouts call her on 0458 038 508.
