The ten year old gelding Vision Retract ($11) trained at Coonamble by Joe Hodgson won by a head from Security Code (Chelsea Ings $6) with Clipaholic (Eleanor Webster-Hawes $6.50) a length away third. Humping the 61kg top weight and resuming from a spell the locally owned One Last Poet ($3 fav) led until close to home before finishing a close fourth. Hawkesbury based apprentice Chelsea Ings continued her recent run of success when winning the Benchmark 48 Handicap (1000m) for Gilgandra trainer Bryan Dixon.
Coming from well back with a strong run along the inside,Hidden Chief ($4.40) scored by a head from Unshinkable (Ethan Kacmaz $7.50) and Latitude Lad (Shane Arnold $13). Miss Emily a $50 winner first up for Narromine trainer Kylie Kennedy after coming from Canberra stables,won again at Mendooran but this time at $4.60.
First leg of a winning double for Tony Cavallo,Miss Emily finished well from midfield to beat Didyahearme (Jodi Worley $8) and Turf On Top (Chelsea Ings $5.50).

George Small from Grenfell has been involved in racing for over 70 years and at age 88 still travels to regional meetings to watch horses he owns in action. Trackside at Mudgee on Sunday, the retired farmer acknowledged the efforts of Cowra trainer Danny Parsons after four year old gelding Raise A Drop won the 1200m Maiden Handicap.
"My horse Raise A Drop can be very difficult to train and Danny Parsons has done a great job", George Small told the big crowd at the presentation.
Raise A Drop (Jake Pracey-Holmes $11) shared the lead with Ashureaan then fought on gamely down the long Mudgee straight to win by a long neck from Just Schillin' (Tony Cavallo $3.50) with a head to third placed Foxdown (Rachael Murray $2.60 fav). Trained at Wyong by Allan Denham and well ridden by apprentice Kellie Holding,Skylimit took out the $30,000 Lawson Park Hotel Black Nugget Cup,1400 metres. From midfield Skylimit ($6.50) sprinted on the inside to win by a long head from Dreadlock (Andrew Banks $4.80) with a neck to Narromine Cup winner A Magic Zariz (Chelsea Ings $3.40 fav).
