Grenfell Red Cross report

The AGM of the Grenfell Branch of Australia Red Cross was held in the Grenfell Hub on July 28, 2017.

President Wendy Anderson welcomed all members and guests with special welcome to our guest speaker Tabitha Franks. Tabitha was instrumental in launching the 'Bring Healthy Back' program to Cowra and Grenfell. Tabitha was delighted and inspired us all and Jan Jones showed our appreciation to her with a small gift.

President Wendy presented her Annual Report highlighting our fund raising activities for the year. These include our work for the Grenfell Sesquicentenary, merchandise stall at the Grenfell Show, the Melbourne Cup Luncheon, the March Bucket Appeal and our Summer and Winter Street Stalls. In her report Wendy thanked the generosity and continual support of the community of Grenfell.

The Treasurer Naomi Steinhardt then presented the Treasurers Report and both reports were adopted by Glenice Clarke. Glenice took the chair for the Election of Office Bearers. Lola Madden again accepted position of Patron. The following executive for 2016-2017 were elected unopposed.

General business was attended to and the meeting closed with an invitation for members and guests to socialise over afternoon tea.
