The Grenfell Girlannas are into the grand final after keeping their undefeated record rolling with a gutsy 18-16 win over Eugowra last weekend.

The Girlannas started a little slower than usual with a number of errors which forced the girls to defend the line for quite some time. Eugowra pushed through to put the first points on the board. The Girlannas then began to work themselves into good attacking position with Zoe finishing off a great backline to score for Grenfell. Breanna then put a marvelous kick up high right under the post and with a quick chase she scored from her kick taking the score to Grenfell 10 Eugowra 6 at half time.
An early penalty goal in the second half gave the girls 2 much needed extra points. Breanna then crossed the line again taking Grenfell to a 18-6 lead. With only five minutes remaining Eugowra pushed through to score another try leaving the full time score at 18-16. The Girlannas will play the winner of the Cargo/ Eugowra match that will be played this Sunday, the grand final will be contested on Sunday September 10 at Condobolin.
