The Panthers Golden Oldies put on an entertaining match during the recent 50th anniversary celebrations.

The Panthers travelled to Harden to take on the Red Devils last weekend, with a flu struck team, knowing this was a must win game to keep them in the hunt for finals. The Panthers took to the paddock not knowing what to expect from the Red Devils and from the first kick off were met with solid defence and hard hitting attack. The Panthers’ first half mainly consisted of defence while trying to combat Hardens’ attack. At the start of the second half the Panthers rallied by playing really effective set plays which turned the game around as they started scoring unanswered tries controlling the game with ease. Final score being 40-12 to the Panthers. Points for this match went to Frazer Ryder: 3 points (Frazer also received Players player), Thomas Taylor: 2 points, Corey Clarke: 1 point. This Saturday the Panthers are calling all supporters to come down and cheer them on at home as they take on Blayney, which will be a tough match. Full Bar and canteen will be available.
