The Song writing for well-being program aims to increase connectedness between generations and focuses on raising awareness of mental health, with the song writing used as an outlet for participants to tell their stories.
Over the next three Thursdays singer-songwriter Abby Smith will continue to assist participants to write lyrics and music and then fine tune their new songs for recording and performance.
A group of men from the Grenfell Men’s Shed have come on board the program and are delighted to be working with students from THLHS with the support of music teacher Brodie McKnight.
The first session proved very positive and THLHS music teacher, Mr McKnight, was very excited to be a involved in the program and looks forward to the student’s outcomes.
