Grenfell Goannas move into top five.

The Grenfell Goannas have moved into the top 5 after a hard fought 48 to 32 win over a vastly improved Canowindra Tigers outfit last Sunday.

In a physical encounter the Goannas lead 24 to 16 at halftime and were really put to the test with Canowindra rolling out their Fijian mid season recruits before the Goannas secured the 16 point triumph. Try Scorers were Amenaysia Aditagane 3, Alec Abbott 1, Mitch Stevens 1 Shannon Lee 1, Brendan Hewen 1, Sam Ingram 1, Josh Edwards 1 with Mitch Stevens kicking 6 conversions.

3 points went to Amenayasi Aditagane who produced his best performance of the season.

2 points and Players Player to Josh Bateman - worked tirelessly all day and lead with plenty of aggression.

1 point to Mitch Stevens and Dan Harveyson - Both men put in solid performances.

In the League Tag the Girlannas lived up to their Premiership favorite's tag by demolishing the Canowindra girls to the tune of 54 nil. Congratulations to Holly Bowerman, Zoe Gavin, Tarlia Cotter, Alicia White, Caitlin Dixon and Breanna Anderson who have been selected to play in the Woodbrige Cup Rep Team to play at Moss Vale on July 15. Mitch Stevens has also been selected to play in the under 18s Rep team. Well done to all and good luck.

This Sunday July 9 sees both Grades travel to Condobolin. League Tag will start at 12.40pm with the Goannas to get underway at 2pm.
