Grenfell Golf Club news

The ladies turned on a great day for their Open tournament last Sunday. The day started out cool and foggy but cleared to a nice sunny day by 10am providing great conditions for the event.

A Grade Scratch winner was D Selwood of Wentworth with 90 gross on C/B from S Smith of West Wyalong. B Grade Scratch winner was J Myers of Grenfell with 86 gross, H Moriaty of Cowra was runner-up on 91 gross, J Myers also won the Sandgreen Trophy.

C Grade Scratch winner was G Cooper from Caragabal on 103 gross with runner-up L Pollock of Caragabal on 105 gross. The 18 holes hop winner in A Grade was V Forsyth of Grenfell on 72 nett with B Grade won by A Coates of Cowra 68 nett. C Grade winner was T O’Byrne of Grenfell on 72 nett.

A Grade 18 holes stableford was won by K Macpherson of Bathurst on 29 pts with B Grade won by J Scott of Grenfell on 36 pts. C Grade was won by M Neill of Grenfell on 34 pts. NTP on the 9th was won by T O’Byrne and on the 18th L Sams. Open teams of 3 were won by A Coates, H Moriaty and J Myers with a fine score of 202 nett. Thanks to all involved for making the day such a great success.
