The launch event held in Grenfell on Saturday June 10 at the Rugby Union Grounds provided local farmers and community members an opportunity to come together and find out what Active Farmers is all about, plus enjoy a delicious breakfast supplied by Grenfell Bring Healthy Back and cooked to perfection by Delta Ag!
Active Farmers General Manager Ginny Stevens, said she was extremely excited with success of the event.
“I couldn't be happier with the efforts of Kim, Brett and everyone who came along,
“I believe Kim and Brett are going to provide a great service to the Grenfell community and will really make a difference to the physical and mental health of all involved,
“I encourage the Grenfell community to get involved and support this excellent service, we especially need some more men!” Ginny said.
Active Farmers, a joint venture with Delta Agribusiness, aims to provide a service that helps improve not only physical health, but also mental health and the Grenfell Active Farmers group fitness classes provide an opportunity for farmers and the local community to come together, socialise, work on their fitness and naturally improve their mental health.
Delta Ag’s (Lachlan Fertilizers Rural) Grenfell branch manager, Anthony Dixon said, “We are pleased to support Active Farmers and the health and well being of our clients and members of the community.”
Kim Broomby is looking forward to meeting lots of Grenfell locals.
“I’m looking forward to sharing time each week to build on our physical and mental health"
Brett Causer, founder of Motion as Medicine advised he is happy to partner with Active Farmers for one of their weekly sessions in Grenfell.
“We Hope to encourage more people from the land, particularly our much loved farming men, to begin taking an active approach to their physical and mental health.
