Ladies 2017 Netball grand final and presentations

The Grenfell Ladies Netball competition came to a close on Thursday evening, June 1, with the 2017 Grand Final taking place followed by the presentation of awards.

The two top teams, Eminence and Born Again, went head to head in an exciting finale of the competition with Eminence coming away with a convincing victory over Born Again with the final score being 59-21.

After the game president of the club, Emma Duval, presented the competition awards as follows:

Overall Best and Fairest Player for the competition:

1st: Becky Eastaway

2nd: Breanna Anderson

Equal 3rd: Melissa Anderson, Catia Nowlan and Brook McCann (absent).

Emma then thanked all players for a great Autumn competition as well as those involved behind the scenes including Lisa Eastaway, Lyndell Rolls and Paige Wood.

The Grenfell Netball club anticipate that the next competition will commence around August 2017, watch this space for confirmation of details as well as competition fixtures.
