The book, written by Penny Matthews, features Nancy who was a resident of Grenfell and the Weddin Shire for 92 years before her recent passing. The story tells of the young pilot Nancy met in the war. The main character in this story was an uncle of the author, Penny Matthews, who, with his incredible story, became somewhat of an obsession for Penny when she was researching her own family tree.
Penny has compiled a touching tale that has been described as “An engaging social history, and a valuable addition to the literature of the men of the RAAF.”
