Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson has advised that Weddin Shire have been awarded an ANZAC community grant of $2000. Veterans Affairs David Elliott announced a total of $50,000 would be distributed in NSW as part of the 2016/17 ANZAC community grants program which assists communities to deliver projects that commemorate the service and sacrifice of WWI and II veterans. Council will use the funds to improve the quality and safety of the Bofors Anti-Aircraft Gun Mark II displayed in Vaughn Park.
