A flawless start to the 2017 Blowes Clothing Cup has marked a huge turnaround from Parkes, but the Boars can expect the spotlight to be firmly trained on them every week from now on as a result.

They’ll have the chance to put some doubters in their place this weekend though, when they host perennial contenders Dubbo Kangaroos at Northparkes Oval on Saturday.

The Boars stunned the entire region by thumping Mudgee 95-14 in round one, backing that up with a 27-10 victory over Cowra on the road.

On the other hand, Roos have been good in rounds one and two, just going down to Forbes before hammering Orange City a fortnight ago.

A victory would all but cement the Boars as a premiership contender, proving the side can match it with the competition’s traditional heavyweights.

Saturday’s blockbuster first-versus-fourth clash kicks off at 3.15pm.
