The Lions Club received a request from the Grenfell Historical Society for assistance to purchase a compactus storage unit. As income to the Historical Society is received from only the small financial membership, entry fees through the door by visitors, research fees and an annual street stall, the Lions Club moved to assist the society with a donation of $1600 towards a storage unit with members also volunteering to assist with the installation. This small band of volunteers at the Society is on hand to assist the community and visitors, the museum is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Mondays from 9am and for special events. Lions President Keith Engelsman presented the cheque to President Peter Mitton at the recent Picnic Races.
