The book titled ‘Bimbi and District ANZACS’ co-written by Bruce Robinson and Margaret Nowlan-Jones was officially launched at the 2017 Bimbi Anzac Day commemorations by Member for Riverina Michael McCormack MP, who also wrote the Foreword for the book. The book not only contains a history of all the soldiers who served overseas in 1914-18 and their families, but features a full account of the members of the Bimbi Red Cross and other women who supported them throughout the war and after. The book contains photos of most of the soldiers and many of the Red Cross women, and dozens of letters written between soldiers and their families, the book is a brilliant and fitting tribute to the servicemen and women of Bimbi. The publication is now available from the Grenfell Museum and the Newsagency for $40. Postage is available by prior arrangement, you can contact Bruce Robinson on 02 6343 1952 for details.
