Attached is a photo of bathurst burrs located in the area fenced off at Bimbi in 2014 by Local Land Services under the pretense of saving "The critically endangered ecological community." On behalf of the community, Council wrote to the LLS pointing out the fence would force stock through the village and exacerbate flooding and asked that the fence be removed.

A number of meetings with LLS represented by Ian Donges and Deb Bate have treated the Bimbi community with complete contempt. Stock HAVE been forced through the village and record flooding has inundated houses as reported in the Grenfell Record. Meanwhile the fenced off area is a neglected jungle of peppercorn trees and bathurst burrs. Stock Routes are neglected while millions of dollars of ratepayers money is wasted on the ridiculous National Livestock Identification System which, in my opinion, is complete nonsense based on fantasy. In fifteen years not one carcass has been identified and isolated for non compliance with NLIS.
