The 2017 Bromar Engineering Rodeo was held last Saturday, March 25, at the Grenfell Showground and was well attended with over 1000 people coming along to revel in all the action.

The crowd was entertained by the Rodeo announcer’s hilarious antics whilst keeping the show moving along. A large number of individuals registered as competitors from across the region with two local men winning the top gongs. Local farrier, Dave Freebody, took out the Saddle Bronc event while Caragabal’s Brock Taylor came in first place in the Open Bull riding event.
With a full program, coordinator Lleiton Purdie, was thrilled that the weather remained clear allowing all events to be competed.
Major sponsors Bromar Engineering were pleased to see the event run so smoothly and efficiently and thanked all involved for their terrific efforts. Eighteen year-old Lleiton Purdie was the key organiser of the event and now has his eyes set on next years Grenfell Rodeo. Lleiton also thanked his team for their tireless efforts in bringing the rodeo to fruition.
