On Thursday evening they caught up with locals Ray and Elaine Cawthorne and Bob and Sue Pack.
Theo will be remembered as having a bearing business in Main Street (where Egosita now is) and Wayne Chambers is a former local.
COUSINS: Wendy and Len Loxley from Rooty Hill were in town last week visiting their relatives Nevin and Verona Hughes, Doug and Vicki Reid and Jacquie and Stuart Taylor and their families.
Wendy is the daughter of Jim and Vera Hancock.
The group and their families enjoyed an evening at Fettlers Restaurant on Friday evening
VISITING FROM THE BIG SMOKE: Max and Julie Madgwick were in town recently visiting their son Michael and his wife Deanne and their children Holli and Chloe.
Max, a retired policeman formerly stationed at Lithgow and Julie took their grandchildren Holli and Chloe home to Campbelltown for a stay over the school holidays.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Felicity Jones who now lives in Berlin flew home to Australia to visit her mother Sylvia and to surprise her on the occasion of her birthday.
Sylvia who now lives in Maclean was pleasantly surprised at a beautiful ‘high afternoon tea’ at the Grenfell Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
Sylvia’s other daughter Patricia was unable to attend but she was delighted to see her granddaughter Niamh from Sydney.
Former neighbours and good friends Ann and David Hill of Canberra were in attendance. Other guests travelled from Yass and Sylvia enjoyed catching up with her Grenfell friends.
THANK YOU: Thank you Lyle and Tracey Walker of Grenfell Quality Meats for your service to Grenfell and the Shire for many years. Lyle will be hanging up his knives this weekend and he and Tracey hope to enjoy some time travelling.

FESTIVAL TWILIGHT BALL: The Henry Lawson Festival will be conducting a fundraiser on Saturday February 4 in Taylor Park.
This Black Tie event is an over 18 event only, with only 200 tickets available.
