To make up for this GPC held an in-house ribbon day. The aim was to give the children the experience of a show or gymkhana without the stress of many other horses.
The riders were Frank, Daisy, Lily, Blair, Tara and Kelsey. Guest instructor Tania Heathcote came and judged the GPC members in their classes, Best Presented, Handler and rider classes. All the children did a fantastic job tackling the challenges Tania gave them.
The riders tried their hands at some show jumping. Despite some fears all riders did a great job riding the course set out by Ashleigh. After lunch, we were down to two riders Daisy and Frank! After a short warm up in the arena, Daisy and Frank played bending, American pole bend and barrels. We finished the day with a game of tip in the arena. There were a lot of smiles, laughter and squeals. Thank you to everyone who helped organise and set the day up, and a special thank you to Tania for being our guest instructor.
