In April 2017, my wife & I intend to commemorate ANZAC Day in Grenfell. My Dad Sgt Percy William (Blue) Campbell was in charge of Grenfell Police in 1947-48. I attended Grenfell Primary School. My Dad was a WW1 hero, serving in Egypt, Gallipoli, France & Belgium, winning the Military Medal, (MM) and the Belgium Croix de Guerre. He was gassed twice and wounded three times. He went on to serve 32 years in the NSW Police and died at Parkes in 1958. I am endevouring to to commemorate his service by attending ANZAC ceremonies in towns where he was in charge of police. 2016 I was in Parkes for ANZAC Day.
