The good news is no one was home at the time and the driver was uninjured.
But power to the town has been affected.

UPDATE 11.45am: Sixty-two properties at Scottsdale remain without power.
TasNetworks, according to its website, is predicting a restoration time for these customers of Monday afternoon.
UPDATE 11.20am: The truck is believed to have been carrying a load of potatoes.
The house affected is believed to be between the Listers Lane and Reid Street intersections.
A power pole is believed to have been knocked over.
UPDATE 10.45am: The crash has caused power outages to more than 1000 customers at Scottsdale.
Traffic diversions are in place, with traffic being directed through Copplestone Street and Listers Lane.
The truck is believed to have been carrying a load of potatoes.
EARLIER: A truck has reportedly crashed into a house at Scottsdale in the state’s North East.
Tasmania Police reported the incident shortly after 10am on Monday.
The circumstances around the crash are not yet known, but the crash occurred on George Street and there are no reported injuries.
It is believed the house was unoccupied at the time, but there has been significant damage done to the property.
Powerlines are down across the road.
