Good news stories seems to be somewhat of a rarity these days, so here's one for you.
Last week at the supermarket, a local woman stopped me to ask if I had a minute to wait, as she had something in her car for me. She returned and presented me with Inga Simpson's book, "Nest" which she'd purchased at Inga's recent book-signing in Grenfell. This local wonder-woman had also gone to the trouble of having Inga sign the book ("For Jenn and birds") and had included a note from herself, which read in part, "I bought this for you for one reason – birds! You were meant to have this book."
I was extremely touched by this generous gift and have to say that she was correct. I thoroughly enjoyed "Nest". (Although the birds did keep distracting me)
Random acts of kindness may go a long way to healing what's wrong with this world and I'd like to take this opportunity to yet again say thank you!
