TENNIS
The weather of late has seen heaps of rain, making conditions just far too wet for tennis.
Last Sunday, June 19, Round 2 of the Inter Town Competition was abandoned owing to the consistent rain. A phone call from Forbes last Saturday advised our Tennis Captain, Danny Joyce that the courts were too wet so the round was called off, therefore each town taking part was allocated 2 points each.
Round 3 of the Inter Town Competition is set down for Sunday, July 24. This round will be played at Grenfell and hopefully the weather will be more settled. Once again it is stressed if you have been selected to play for Grenfell, please make every effort to be available.
Round 2 of the Men’s Winter Competition was also washed out on Tuesday, this will take place next Tuesday June 28.
