That means the Sunday services in December will return to 7.30am and 9.00am at Holy Trinity. The details of the Christmas services are advertised separately: all centres of worship will have a Christmas service.
The January services will be at 8.30am followed by a free Continental breakfast.
For the past two years the January services have been at 8.30am followed by breakfast and have provided good opportunities for fellowship among parishioners.
All are welcome to come: dates are January 4, 11, 18 and 25.
Father Bill, as he likes to be called, will be living in the rectory and will be attending to the parish telephone and email.
However, Father Bill loves to visit people, so don’t be surprised if he comes knocking on your door!
He will also be available for funerals, as well as looking after bookings made for baptism and wedding services.
Father Bill will be with the parish until a new priest is appointed. Bishop Ian Palmer met with parishioners at a well-attended meeting last week to discuss the qualities needed in the new minister. Bishop Ian is confident of making an appointment sooner rather than later.
