Warm spring weather continued for the Open Gardens weekend on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October 2014. Local residents and visitors could wander comfortably around some or all of the eight gardens on display as well as the Patina Gallery and the Weddin Community Native Nursery. The owners, too, had pleasure in showing them around.

Congratulations and thanks to photographer Jenn Graham for the excellent pictures of each venue and the Grenfell Record for listing each garden prior to the weekend and for publishing the photos in two subsequent issues of the paper.
Another pleasurable Grenfell Community event. The photos can be viewed on the papers website www.grenfellrecord.com.au and then by clicking on the Multi-Media button in the top right corner, this will take you to the gallery.
At the October meeting President Gen Browne welcomed members at Kathleen McCue’s Patina Gallery. Meetings at members homes are always pleasant and appreciated, however a Gallery meeting was rather special. The main business was related to preparations for the Open Gardens weekend.
The next meeting will be held at 10am next Tuesday November 4th at the home of Chris and Trevor Lobb at 51 Forbes Street, Grenfell. The earlier meeting time is to enable members to attend the Red Cross Melbourne Cup Luncheon.
