Lisa Schaefer, owner and creator, of Lisa Schaefer Millinery was thrilled to receive confirmation last week that her designs had been short listed in the very exclusive category of “Invitation Only” in the Crown Oaks Day, Myer Fashions on the Field, Millinery Awards. Lisa received a personal invite from Victoria Racing Club and Myer to notify her of her selection.

This is a huge achievement and one that Lisa is extremely humbled by.
The invitation-only category was introduced in 2006 to complement the Design Award’s focus on the fine art of millinery.
The invitation only Millinery Award focuses the judges’ attention purely on the hat or headpiece of the individual.
The Millinery Award provides milliners a chance to showcase their work and contribution to racing fashion.
Lisa will be accompanied to the big event by her cousins, Gaby Capra and Susie Taylor, whom she has personally designed bespoke creations for the girls to wear on the day (featured below), she will also be accompanied by friend and model Alice Fennell who will parade the spectacular headpiece on the day and whom Lisa cannot thank enough for giving up her time. Lisa’s design for the competition is to remain confidential until after the event, so watch this space for the wrap up.
