Weddin Shire Mayor, Mr Mark Liebich, began by speaking of Sam’s accomplishments and on behalf of the community congratulated Sam.
Sam then gave a very moving speech reminiscing about his journey so far and included some amazing stories regarding moments that will stay with him forever.
Pictured here is Sam's Bronze Medal from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, also presented to Sam was this Scottish Quaish, traditionally used in the 17th century as a drinking cup or bowl, they were given to all medal winners in Glasgow as a symbol of love and friendship.
