Jill welcomed everyone, including a new member on the day. Jill, on behalf of President Beth Taylor, thanked all the members for working on the street stall on a cold Friday in the street, and reported that for the Red Cross 100 year Birthday Devonshire Tea at the Hub, there were many positive comments, and that the display in the window outside was excellent.
The Meals on Wheels roster was attended to, and then the roster for working at the stall at the Grenfell Show. The main decision for the day was to confirm that the Melbourne Cup Luncheon on the first Tuesday in November will go ahead with the assistance of the caterers at the Grenfell Country Club. This was a good decision, as it is always a very happy and pleasant afternoon, with delicious food and good prizes for Melbourne Cup type competitions held on the day. If you can’t be in Melbourne for the Cup, you may as well be at the Grenfell Country Club instead!!
Next meeting is on 26th September at 2 pm in the Senior Citizens meeting room in Melyra Street, Grenfell.
