The Grenfell Goannas hosted the Canowindra Tigers on Sunday at Lawson Park and struggled to contain the very young extremely fit outfit.  The Goannas got away to a slow start and again silly mistakes seem to follow Grenfell into every game. Throw in three or four penalties and Grenfell have a big job in reeling in runaway opponents. The Tigers were quick to pounce and got out of the blocks quickly. They had the Goannas down 18-nil before they knew what hit them. Grenfell after 20 minutes of continued attack finally got a crack at the Canowindra side and some very good ball movement saw big second rower Steven Ingram storm onto a bass from Mick Stallard and he brushed would-be tacklers aside to score his try.
