Gallery co-ordinator Carly Brown is pleased to announce the opening of the gallery’s latest exhibition the “Young Society of Artists Incorporated”.
This exhibition opened on 22nd July and will run through until the 23rd August. It offers works in water colour, acrylic, oils, pastels, charcoal, ink and pen, mixed media and photography.
The Young Society of Artists Incorporated was formed in 1982 and its members worked to establish their own gallery “Burrangong Gallery”. Over the years the gallery has had several homes but is now based in the Young Visitor Information Centre.
Some of the artists will be known by local members of the public and the others whose works will be exhibited and for you to discover and experience the comparison of the various mediums. It is important to embrace the talents of artists in surrounding regions and participate in helping them to gain recognition and awareness with the public.
Some of those whose works will be exhibited are, Joy Tyack, Tim Smith, Maree Myhill, Yvonne Leacy, Allen Crowe, Heather Ruhl and Wendy Hartley. In all, some 51 works of art will be exhibited for the enjoyment of members of the Weddin Shire its and visitors.
