The works have generated interest in equal measures in subject matter, individual technique and design artistry.
The Grenfell Art Gallery was fortunate to have been visited mid exhibit by two of the artists Clairre Wishart and Lisa Dangerfield.
It is important to us at the Grenfell Art Gallery that the artists enjoyed viewing their art in the space, it quickly become apparent that they did.
The visiting artists expressed sentiments that our community is very lucky to have such an outstanding facility. We are genuinely appreciative of such positive feedback.
All three Artists are listed on Bland Shire Councils Artist and Practitioner register and actively practice their art in the West Wyalong community. Clairre’s Splatter Gallery and Cafe’ conducts regular classes and workshops in West Wyalong and can be found on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/
Elaine Marshall’s exclusive hot glass pieces have been extremely popular this exhibit, so much so that the Grenfell Art Gallery has re-ordered through http://www.exclusivehotglass.com.au , to replenish our cabinet display.
The dichroic shepard hook, stud earrings and pendants have been very popular as gift sets.
We encourage you to view this stunning collection before the Diversity exhibition close on Saturday 19 July.
The Diversity exhibit also had a visit from Ken and Ruth Murray of QLD.
Ken was a past Health Inspector of the Weddin Shire Council and was instrumental to the Grenfell Museum restoration grant.
Our own Grenfell Art Gallery volunteer Mary Hunter, who also volunteers for the Grenfell Museum just so happened to be on duty in the gallery on the day. Together the two shared with us some literal foundation Museum history.
We thank all visitors to the gallery for their continued interest in our regularly changing exhibits.
An invitation is extended to you to visit our upcoming exhibit by the Young Society of Artists Incorporated.
This exhibit will run from July 22 to August 23rd and will feature next in the Grenfell Record Grenfell - Grenfell Art Gallery entry.
Coordinator note: I would like to thank the gallery volunteers, community and other arts groups, regional galleries, museums and arts organisations for welcoming me as the new Grenfell Art Gallery coordinator.
I am encouraged by your support, assistance and guidance in the early days of my new role.
May we continue to enjoy the arts together and watch it flourish in this great space.
See you at the Gallery,
Carly Brown
